So alert readers will recall that the State of California passed it's own sanctuary law, making it illegal to inquire into someones status as a citizen, and barring law enforcement authorities in the state from cooperating with ICE officials in most cases.

Orange County, the state's most populous California county, called a bullshit and voted to exempt itself from the sanctuary law. Several other California counties and cities have either followed the Orange County lead, or are considering it.

Jeff Sessions filed a law suit earlier in March, alleging that California's sanctuary policies directly interfere with the federal government's own immigration policies.

This has all very much pissed off California's Attorney General, Xavier Becerra, who a) filed a counter law suit alleging illegal Federal interference in a state matter and b)threatening to arrest any law enforcement official who violates the California Values Act. (That's what they call it by the way; the "values act". Really.)

So.

On one hand we have President Trump, his Attorney General Jeff Sessions, the entire ICE hierarchy and a handful of California cities and counties.

On the other hand we have the State of California, the California Attorney General, some of California's law officers, and a handful of California cities and counties.

Neither side is blinking. Yet.

One possible scenario that will result in civil war will be the California Attorney General ordering the arrest of, say, the sheriff of Orange County. In response, Jeff Sessions will order the arrest of the California Attorney General. Governor Jerry Brown, roused from his stupor, will declare California's succession from the union. Trump, in response, will order the governor arrested as a terrorist and tossed into a cell in Guantanamo until he "regains his senses".

California’s officials have encouraged some pretty dangerous behavior from their law enforcement officers praising those who buck against Federal law in terms of immigration.

The Liberal’s main goal has been to cut ICE out of the loop when an inmate, who is in the United States illegally, has been released. This forces ICE agents deeper into the community to ‘hunt down’ these criminals and deport them. Causing potentially fatal chases and leading to possible shootouts.

One Orange County Sherrif says she would rather ICE agents know well in advance so she has decided to post the release records to the public. Her goal is to keep the community safer. By following the Federal law rather than the laws of her State and allowing ICE agents to pick up immigrants currently detained in a safe environment, she is doing just that. Take a look.

Officials in California’s Orange County voted Tuesday to join a lawsuit from the Trump administration fighting the state’s “sanctuary city” laws, hours after the county sheriff’s department anounced its own methods of pushing back against the legislation aimed at protecting illegal immigrants.

The Orange County Board of Supervisors voted 3-0 to join the U.S. Justice Department’s lawsuit, which argued three recent California laws deliberately interfered with federal immigration policies.


One of the laws bars police in many cases from turning over suspects to federal immigration agents for deportation.

“This legislation prevents law enforcement from removing criminals from our community and is a threat to public safety,” Supervisor Shawn Nelson said before the vote.

The county moved earlier this week to improve communication with federal immigration agents by publishing the release dates of inmates online. The sheriff’s department used to screen inmates in the county’s jails to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents identify those subject to deportation but had to stop after the state law passed.

 

Fixed! This will stop all the drama. As to the issues, I have no opinion one way or the other.

Most of those spoiled brats sued and won lawsuits. The city and state governments purposely handled them with kid gloves until they got violent, entirely to avoid a PR nightmare in this era of no accountability.

If those cops had started firing as would happen in a war, the vast majority of those people would've shit themselves and run for their lives.

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people "you're so dammed stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you".

Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds)!

Alas, it is true- all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

This woman is frightening. She quotes... "We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?) in our country; and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest. (I'm not rich, are you?)"

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:

"We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as Americans."

(Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.) 'Lower your retirement; give it to others who have not worked, as you have, for your money.
