I don't like having friends or enemies. I just want to be in my own bubble doing some interactive journaling.

 

If you stay out of the politics/social and stick to just sex you will find your gears are grinded in a much more rewarding way

 

At my age, my dear, I can't 'live' on sex alone. I was hoping for polite discourse, but I guess here - like virtually everywhere on the Internet - that's a faint hope.

 

You have to be patient and there are a few gems amongst the stones..... I have found a few. Talk to people in PM and those who are nice and sincere will build a repore with you and even off the site. I find people are very different in private then they are on the forum.

In the case of these particular individuals, I'm afraid that our ideals on certain subjects are so diametrically opposed that we would 'butt heads' even in private. Better to find people who are at least open minded.

 

If people are decent you should be able to disagree of opinions and still be friends.

 

Oh I quite agree - however the individuals in question seem to believe that their opinions are the only ones that matter and if you have a different one, you are either stupid, a foreigner or someone wanting to destroy the country.

Sorry, I gave 8 years of my life and several pints of blood to my country, I want it to succeed, but not as a theocracy where people are denied rights just because they are different.

Meh. The trolls are annoying, sure, but they can be funny. Why ignore them when you can laugh your ass off at them?

And if someone pisses me off, I would much rather bash them than ignore them. It's more fun.
