the govt ..idk the name of the agency or court or what ever but what do youu think everyone we rounded up was a terrorist?.. no.. a lot were innocent especially the ones we rounded up in iraq.

 

Of course there are terrorists...but they are our own creation that we used to fight the russians in the 80s and now we are using them to fight assad in syria and using them as a boogy man here at home to keep everyone in fear so they will support the war and give up their rights. Well, lets think about this for a moment.
You can't produce a source.
The Gitmo inhabitants were found primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan and were detained as suspected terrorists.
Now, I'll grant; a soldier clearing out a suspected terrorist hide out might make a mistake grabbing the guy stuffing guns in his basement, or trying to flush C-4. I mean, soldiers aren't expected to make that decision.
But those people are screened when they are brought in, and why oh why would we want to bring an innocent civilian all the way to Gitmo if we weren't sure we had a terrorist on our hands?

the official does speak about battle field vetting, which sounds like what i know as the "shotgun approach" and a reason for the military to be knowingly/unknowingly taking and holding innocent people. what seems to me to be "collateral" insider or local information. as if to say "if we get enough of the jigsaw around the missing piece, well have enough to know what we are looking at, and what is missing and we can go from there." the article uses the term "joining the dots." there is alot more information out there out there if you keep an open mind and look...
