On the other hand, what bothered me most is that i don't see much reason for Emma to indulge toward Ace at this point. As far as i know they despise each other right?
...
That's a good thing, no?
If they were just: "Oh, you're so cute. Oh, you're so nice." it would be just ordinary sex.

On the other hand, if they have to deal with their baggage during sex - there could be a real dynamic between them.
And the stronger the 'baggage' - the stronger the swing would be during that dynamic.

It's like when you watch an action scene: would you like the enemy to be weak and easily defeated - smooth sailing for the MC with no swings in the fight at all?
Or you'd prefer an insurmountable enemy, that is seemingly impossible to beat?

I'd prefer their hate for each other to be truly 'insurmountable'.
And I hope it'll only grow.
That's the whole juice.

Oh, i was just considering if anything is wrong with the scene it would rather be within emma/ace relationship than with something else. I do actualy like the scene as it is in the last version.
And it would be wrong in the sens that if i remember correctly (which is certainly not given since my last session of the game is month old) Emma and Ace hate each other and therefor there is no reason for ace or emma to sexually pursue each other. Well i do remenber that Emma is already physicaly attracted by ace, but i don't recall anything for the other way round. Anyway, just blabering there

Is MC squinting melancholically into the future, or just constipated? Only your imagination can decide.

October 21 Development Log:

Abbie’s side content has been coded in: It contains only Vanilla, while Tara’s side content has only NTR. An early version of the body-shot system may be accessible, too.

I’m going on vacation for a few days but I’ve set up many scenes in advance, so my computer will continue rendering even if I’m not around. And, of course, I can still code on my phone.

So far, the changelog for v0.10 appears as follows:

V0.10 Changelog (As of Oct 21):

Content:
  • Added Emma NTR Scene, Turn 16
  • Added Emma Vanilla Scene, Turn 16
  • Added Lily NTR Scene, Turn 17
  • Added Lily Vanilla Scene, Turn 17
  • Added Tara Side Content, Corruption Lvl 1 and 2
  • Added Abbie Side Content, Corruption Lvl 1 and 2
  • Rumor and story choices have been unified and simplified under a game mechanic where the correct response is the one that demonstrates the character’s desired personality trait.
  • Replaced five rumors that Ace can spread about MC or his friends.
  • Inserted second drafts of all major scenes: thirty-three scripts have been updated to increase story experience, accompanied by new renders.
  • Added or updated tutorials to explain new systems.
  • Conversion of Ren’py animations to .webm video for game stability.
  • Increased render quality of all sprites before Turn 10: contrast, sharpness, dynamic lighting, etc.
  • When rumors spread between characters it now shows them talking.
  • Added error-checking to QuickStart feature to ensure variables are not incorrectly assigned.
  • Updated walkthrough: scenes are now organized by turn first.

Coding:

  • Filename re-structured: Script files have been renamed to reflect the code inside them. Ex. Scripts.rpy is now Maingameloop.rpy.
  • Removed excess labels/functions. A lot of labels simply had two or three lines of code, and so those “orphans” were returned to their “parents” that were calling them.
  • Scenes fire using interpolated strings. This way scenes aren’t shown out of order, or not at all.
  • Sprites now have a clothing and lighting setting, so I don’t have to specify it every time I show a sprite.
  • Sprites are now designated using filename string interpolation.
  • Game systems are organized into modules. Ex. Rumor, Bodyshot, Nemesis. The main game loop calls and returns these modules. This keeps the game nested in the main loop, rather than daisy-chained from one label to another.
  • Character-specific properties are stored in classes. Changes to those properties are made via functions. Ex. Nemesis Score, drunken states, etc.
  • Home screen properties are now stored in classes. Ex. Visible characters, interactive doors, changing lighting, etc.

This game is becoming a masterpiece! We need more content with that hijabi Queen. I wish we could change the bully into a Black character with a BBC

November 6 Development Log:

I’m back from vacation. I did a good amount of coding from my phone while away, but there is still a ton of other work to do.

None of it is interesting to finish or talk about, so I won’t speak in depth on it here. I’ll simply say that the current state of v0.10 is like a puzzle: I have created all the pieces, and placed some, but the rest must be inserted, too.

To make up for the lack of an interesting dev log, here is a spicier-than-usual teaser.

Hello. Is football game rigged for Emma to win or it's bug? Even if Ace wins during game, when it's over I always get Emma gloating scene and game acts like she won.

November 13 Development Log:

Rather than just one big announcement that I’m seeking bug-testers for v0.10, I’ll repeatedly mention it during my next few dev logs.

My goal is to have volunteers ready for the bug-testing phase around the end of November. Upwards of 90% of code has been changed.

Please let me know if you’re interested in testing. It’s an opportunity to play the game way before anyone else, as long as you’re willing to message me with issues you have.

In recent news, the clickable sprites in the living room have been altered so they provide more information:
  • If they have conversations available
  • If they are influenced by a rumor
I’ve also added parallax effects for desktop users. Both these new features took less than a half hour to implement since I bought the code rather than writing it myself.

November 18 Development Log:

Note: I’m still open to anyone interested in bug-testing v0.10 in a few weeks.

An early version of body-shots content will be ready for this update. There won’t be much to it yet, but I’m launching it with v0.10 so I can get some feedback before it’s fleshed out for v0.11.

Overall, I want the bulk of Act I to be ready for v0.10. The update after that, v0.11, should be about “finishing” things for Act I.

As for Act II, I’m very close to the purchase of a more powerful PC. Yes, the renders will be gorgeous, but more importantly, I will be able to produce a higher volume of work over a shorter period of time.

Our favorite thicc party guest unwrapping herself.

November 23 Development Log:

For those waiting to bugtest, I’m estimating v0.10 will be ready for testing in the beginning of December. I’ll send you a message with a download link at that time.

For everyone else, my new rendering PC is being delivered. The era of CPU renders with my ancient integrated graphics card laptop will soon be over… but only once Act II begins in the New Year.

I don’t want a sudden change in “art style” resulting from my renders becoming 1000x better. Imagine you’re having a conversation with Emma when randomly you can see every detail of her down to her pores. It’d break immersion. So the crazy quality increase will come when the story shifts in a big way—Act II.

Until then, I’m at the final “death by a million cuts” stage of a release, where all the big things are finished, it’s just the million tiny tasks that I’m working through.

Thank you for your patience. I know it’s been a longer update, but I’m confident that having taken the time to re-structure the game, future updates will be much quicker to develop from v0.11 onward.

Your game is excellent in every way, except for one aspect
I won't go into detail about the many strengths of this game since you're likely well aware of them: character/personality, excitement, creativity, story, physiology, and more
However, I want to highlight the only major weakness :"game logic"
All the negative reviews stem solely from the game logic. I truly hope you'll address this critical issue
That said, I hope improving the logic won't come at the expense of the incredible excitement and thrill already present in the game

In any case, best of luck! I'll definitely keep following your game—it’s great

Thank you for the kind words!

I am aware of the game logic being quite difficult as of v0.09. The upcoming update, v0.10, is a major overhaul of the confusing dynamics while streamlining gameplay. I can confidently reassure you that I did this while still completely preserving the strengths of the game, including all that you mentioned.

Thanks again.

December 5 Development Log:

So, despite my best estimate, v0.10 still isn’t ready for bug-testing. I don’t have any excuses for this; some details are taking longer than anticipated.

Rather than continuing to disappoint by setting another specific date, I’ll simply say: it’ll be a handful of weeks.

My new PC has arrived and I’ve begun copying my Daz files to it. The 4080 Super will increase render speeds by an order of magnitude compared to my CPU.

A NSFW trailer is in the works while things render. We’ll see if it can increase the game’s visibility after v0.10. There’s a limited number of games with NTR that have made it to this level of development, yet I never see Nemesis Party mentioned.

I’m hoping that with stability and content increases, as well as a juicy trailer, that will change by the end of Act I.
