It is fascinating though.

Trouble is , there are already signs the deforestation in the Amazon basin may be approaching a critical turning point ,
not previously realised.

The reliability of the rains is failing , already to the point that areas like Sao Paolo are suffering lack of annual rainfall to a critical level.

Nobody realised how soon the lack of forrest transpirtation might effect the whole continent ,
and it may be a snowballing effect.

From the "believe it or not" files , normally the "rivers in the sky" from Amazon transpiration , carry far more water out of the area , than the Amazon River.

The lack of rain is a problem. We can't leave the farm untill it rains because of the fire risk.

 

I can’t live anywhere where rain is not a regular event.
Whenever I land here I see how green everything is and that makes it feel like home.
Living in Salt Lake City and looking at basically a moonscape in the summer was depressing as Hell.

 

We had a whole house fan too, as I was growing up. We'd have to lay directly under it sometimes during the heat of the day.
My mom always complained cause the damn thing drew in dust and dirt from outside. Then we got central A/C. WOO HOO!
Now we're shittin in tall cotton.

 

We use our a/c also but using the whole house fan early in the morning when it's cool, then shutting the house up after we cool it as much as possible keeps it cool. The a/c doesn't kick in until the afternoon.
Oh yeah, and no dust in the burbs. No worries there.

 

I know, it’s weirdly warm here in Northern Europe!
Not good for humid places!
